With rapid development of mobile networks in recent years, 5G has gradually entered into an era of large scale commercial, including smart cities, automatic pilot, automatic factory, remote surgery, etc. These applications are making 5G more diversified in the future. Compared with 4G, 5G’s network rate is nearly 10 times higher. The second generation 5G antenna adopts the omni-directional + directional scheme, which can not only meet the omni-directional coverage, but also increase the coverage and wall penetration effect in specific directions by 50%.

The third generation innovatively designed the array smart antenna, which not only increased the coverage of the previous generation products by 50%, but also increased the wall penetration effect by 30%. It has the function of intelligently changing the network performance according to the customer's application scenarios, so that the products are truly intelligent.

Millimeter wave technology is a very important technology in 5G, with a frequency range from 20GHz to 300GHz. Compared with the frequency band below 6GHz, millimeter wave has the advantages of larger bandwidth, low air interface delay and flexible air interface configuration, which can meet the needs of future wireless communication for system capacity, transmission rate and differentiated applications. ▲Overall coverage roundness optimization effect

The antenna technology of products in the frequency band below 5g sub-6ghz has been relatively mature. We have adopted a variety of schemes, such as antenna location layout, integrated antenna coverage out of roundness, directional antenna, etc., so that the antenna index of the whole machine is increased by about 20%, and the roundness coverage and isolation of the whole machine are greatly improved. The previous problems such as insufficient coverage and signal dead angle are completely solved, so that the product has a good user experience.

For very high frequency band millimeter wave, it spreads in space in the form of direct wave, with narrow beam and good directivity. However, millimeter wave is seriously affected by atmospheric absorption and rainfall fading, resulting in short communication distance. Antenna performance is particularly important for millimeter wave products. Through the self-built millimeter wave simulation system, we optimized the performance of the whole machine in terms of shell thickness and heat dissipation support, which improved the millimeter wave antenna performance of the whole machine by 5%.

According to researches, the performance of millimeter wave products in the current market is generally low. MEIGCEE will consider using passive coupling technology to improve the performance of millimeter wave antennas and optimize the EIRP and directivity of the whole machine products.
