What is 5G FWA | In a word, technology

Driven by the national strategy of "Broadband China" and the national policy of "Speeding up and Reducing Fees", China's broadband industry has developed rapidly. By the end of November, 2020, China's optical fiber users accounted for 93.4% of the total number of broadband users, and those with 100Mbps or above accounted for 89.4%. In rural and remote areas, 98% of administrative villages have achieved "double connectivity" (optical fiber, 4G).

America's optical fiber network coverage is only 32%. Head operators such as Verizon AT&T have announced that their 5G rate advanced military field is FWA.

FWA fixed wireless access uses 4G/5G and other wireless access methods instead of copper cable and optical fiber to provide Internet services for users.

Up to now, more than 120 countries around the world have deployed 4G FWA solutions on more than 492 networks, serving 100 million households.

It has been proved that FWA based on LTE can provide continuous high-quality broadband access in various usage scenarios and different market conditions.

It is estimated that by 2022, FWA services based on LTE will account for 40% of all fixed wireless broadband users. Among them, 5G FWA service users will account for 16%.
